Halloween Costumes…A Little Something For Everyone
Halloween is about creativity and fun. What if you can’t think of a costume? For lazy Halloween costumes or something more involved, read on to learn what you can do this Halloween. You can enjoy the parties without continually explaining why you aren’t wearing anything special.
Lazy Halloween Costumes
The Eyeball: Slap a large googly eyeball to your forehead and go have fun.
Keep ‘Em in Stitches: Use a marker to draw Frankenstein style stitches on your wrists and around your neck. Don’t use a permanent marker if you have work the next morning!
Get The Tee: Many stores sell fun and unique Halloween tee shirts. You can choose from cute, darkly humorous, movie tie-ins, and puns. It’s an easy, wash-and-go costume that works at home, at the store, on campus, and even at the doctor’s office. It might not if you’re the doctor. But then again, maybe it would?
College Halloween Costumes
College students can express their edgy new personalities a variety of ways.
The Politico: Dress up as anyone in the news like a president, an actor, or someone else who is controversial. You can add a sign that plays off the identity with a punchline.
Gamer Go-to: You know you want to don that paladin armor or wizardly cape. You can make your own or look for costumes in stores and online. You’ve probably been assembling your costume for months. Embrace your gamer code, and go for it!
Classic Halloween Costumes
Movie Monster: You can be a Bela Lugosi vampire or a Twilight vampire. You can be a classic old mummy or go for the latest zombie fashion. Dress up as a cheerleader. Dress up as an undead cheerleader. Dress up as an alien undead cheerleader. The sky’s the limit!
Best Friend Halloween Costumes
Buddy Movies: You and a friend can dress up as famous characters like Woody and Buzz Lightyear. There’s always Tarzan and Jane (or his chimp friend), Batman and Robin, and Mulder and Scully. You and your friend can dress up as Shaggy and Scooby.
Historical Pairs: You could be Bonnie and Clyde, but you’ll need some toy Tommy guns or at least lots of bullet holes. Anthony and Cleopatra have been overdone, but you could add extra eyeballs. Who knew Romans came from space?
One way to get ideas is to list favorite movies and books for crazy characters. You can also window shop online or browse the Halloween section of your local stores. Be the only character of its kind, or create something immediately recognizable. The point is to have fun and be creative in expressing yourself. Ok, it’s also about candy.
